Stay

How long in advance can I book an accommodation?


Reservations on the Internet and by phone are accepted up to six months in advance.




Can I make international calls from my room?


The phone in the Japanese style room can only be used to call the reception and to make emergency calls. International calls cannot be made.




Is the resort pet free?


Currently, pets are not allowed in the rooms/cottages to not inconvenience other guests.




What's in the Japanese style room?


The Japanese style rooms consist in two rooms: bedroom and bathroom.

Are included in the bedroom the following: futons (not bed) and beddings, low table and chairs, tea set, fridge, TV (DVD player, TV service not included), safe box, electric kettle, bug repellent, air conditioner.

Are included in the bathroom: a toilet (washlet type), washstand, bathtub with shower, soaps (body soap, shampoo, conditioner), towels (bath towels and hand towels) and amenities. Pyjama, yukata, bathrobe are not provided.




What's in cottage?


The cottage consists in three rooms: bedroom, balcony and bathroom. Are included in the bedroom: bunkbeds, beddings, table with chairs, washstand (cold water only), electric kettle, bug repellent, air conditioner. Kitchen tools, towels are not provided. The bathroom consists in a toilet (simple type, not washlet).




Are there amenities?


In the Japanese style rooms, towels (bath and hand towels), amenity sets (razor, toothbrush and toothpaste, comb) are included.

Amenities are not provided in the cottages. At the reception, you can rent bath towels, and buy hand towels as well as amenity sets.




How to check-in?


Please come to the reception at the main building. You will need to fill a form, and to present an ID. According to the law, foreign guests who do not have an address in Japan must present passports and have them photocopied. Settlement is required during check-in (card, cash accepted).




What happens if I want to check-in after 9pm?


Late check-in is possible ONLY for cottages guests. Please let us know beforehand if you want to check after 9pm. In this case, you will be required to self-chek-in: we will leave the key of your cottage as well as documentation on the letterbox on the right side of the door at the main building. However, please keep in mind that the onsen (showers included) is only available from 3pm to 9pm.

Late check-in is Not available for Japanese style rooms’ guests. The main building closes at 9pm, so please check-in by 9pm. If your arrival time will be after 9pm, please contact us by 8:30pm at the latest.

Settlement will need to be done before check-out.




Is it possible to check-out early?


The main building is open from 9am to 9pm. Early check-out is available. However, please make sure that you don’t have undone settlement.

For cottages’ guests, please leave the key in the letterbox at the main building’s front door.

For Japanese style rooms’ guests, please leave the key on the reception’s desks and leave through the back door.




Can I check-in early?


For early check-in, room reservations must be made one day prior to your scheduled stay. If only luggage is acceptable, we will keep it before check-in.




I wish to cancel. Are there cancellation fees?


Free cancellation up to 6 days before. The cancellation fee will be applied 5 days before your stay. The cancellation fee varies depending on the site you booked, so please contact us anytime if you have any questions.

Also, please contact us if it is difficult to cancel by yourself.




What if I forgot to cancel?


If you forget to cancel (including forgetting to contact the accommodation you booked), or if you did not stay because you assumed that there was no reservation, we will treat it as cancellation.

In that case, according to the cancellation policy, the accommodation facility will inform and request the prescribed cancellation fee. The cancellation fee will be notified in the reservation confirmation email.




Can I make a reservation on the day?


Reservations can be made by phone or online and are subject to availability.

Dinner can only be reserved in advance.




Can I pay in advance?


Advance payment varies according to each website. Reservations made by phone cannot be prepaid.




Can I pay at a later date?


No. Available only to customers who have a contract for payment at a later date. Please prepay or pay at check-in.




Can I smoke in my room?


Use of "heated cigarettes" and "electronic cigarettes" is prohibited in non-smoking rooms. If you smoke in a non-smoking room, you may be charged a cleaning fee.




Do you have extra beds?


Japanese style rooms are for up to 4 adults and up to 1 infant (futon not provided). In case you would need an extra bed (but not exceeding 4 people), you will be charged for 1 person's fee (either adult of child fee).

Cottages are bunkbeds type: extra futons are not available.




Is there a baby bed?


Beds for babies are not provided.




Is there room service?


Room service is not provided. In case of long stay, clean bedding and towels will be provided.




Is there drinking water in the rooms? Hot water?


Water in the cottages and traditional rooms is drinkable. An electric kettle is also at disposition in the rooms.





Gourmet

Is there a restaurant?


The resort has an on-site restaurant in the main building, but reservations are required.

Breakfast needs to be booked at least 3 days and dinner 5 days prior to your stay.

Is there a restaurant with a private room?


There is no private room. The restaurant consists in one room with 20 seats.

Please contact us if you want to book the restaurant.




Is there a restaurant that can be used as a wheelchair or a stroller?


Yes.




I have food allergies and dietary restrictions. Can you respond?


We will respond to allergies and dietary restrictions as much as possible so that you can enjoy your meal, so please consult us before making a reservation.

Please note that on-site reservations is not possible due to the location being remote.




Do you have a children's menu?


For dinner, we have a children’s menu.

As for breakfast, the menu is the same for adults and children.





Facilities

Are there any facilities for people with reduced mobility?


Wheelchair ramps are installed at the main building's entrance and at the restaurant. Other facilities are not barrier-free. We do not provide wheelchair.




Is there a parking?


Free parking is available on site for 30 cars.




Are there vending machines?


Vending machine for soft drinks is available outside the main building.




Is there a coin laundry?


There is a coin laundry at the main building, available from 9am to 9pm.

Washing machine: one time for ¥300.

Dryer: ¥100/30 minutes

Detergent and softener sold at the reception.




Can I exchange foreign currency?


Foreign currency exchange service is not provided at the resort.




Is there a microwave available?


No.




Is there a nursing room or a place where I can change diapers?


There is no nursing room available.




Is there a smoking area?


The buildings are non-smoking. Please smoke at the designated areas.




I want to send my luggage in advance, what should I do?

Is there a service where I can leave my child?


We do not offer this service.




What's at the BBQ area? Can I BBQ in front of my cottage?


The two barbecue areas have chairs, two sinks, a refrigerator, and four open spaces for starting a fire.

In case of BBQ stove, just place the stove on top of the bricks. BBQ stoves can be rented (stove, charcoal, fire igniting agent, lighter, grill, plates and chopsticks included). This set does not include BBQ sauce, aluminium foil, seasonings, etc.

In case of firewood, just place the firewood at the bottom of the bricks. We do not provide firewood. You will need to clean the space used for the fire. After the bonfire, please use the cleaning tools provided and clean up. We look forward to your cooperation for the next customer.

For guests, use of the BBQ stove around the cottage is not allowed. The property being entirely made in wood, to avoid a fire, BBQ on the balcony is forbidden.




When can I use the onsen? What's in there?


For cottages’ guests, the onsen (showers included) is open from 3pm to 9pm (last entry 8:30pm). The onsen is not available outside those hours.

The onsen consists in 3 rooms: locker room, onsen and sauna. Soaps (body soap, shampoo, conditioner) and hairdryer included.




Is there a shop? A gift shop?


There are no shops on the premises, but there are simple drinks, snacks and cup ramen. Since the number and type are limited, we recommend that you purchase in advance. There are no souvenirs available.





Surroundings

Is there an ATM?


The nearest ATM is a post office located 10 minutes by car.

For regular financial institutions, the nearest convenience store is 30 minutes away by car.

Where is the closest supermarket? Gas station?


Our shop is located in a mountainous area, so there are basically no shops around. Advance shopping is recommended.

The closest city is Tosakure, 30min away by car from the resort. There, you will find a supermarket (Marunaka), a drugstore (Tsuruha), a fish market (Taisho ichiba), as well as restaurants and cafes.

The closest gas station is 10min away from the resort, in Onomi village (JA). It’s open everyday except Sundays from 9am to 5pm. The gas station in Tosakure (Eneos) is open everyday from 6am to 9pm.

General questions

Are credit cards accepted?


You can use VISA, American Express, Master card, JCB, Diner’s club and Discover cards.

If you use a card other than the above, or you may not be able to use it, please contact us for details.




Is there internet?


Guests can use high-speed internet access (cable not provided) or wireless LAN (Wi-Fi) free of charge. Wi-Fi’s password is written in your room.




Do mobile phones and smartphones receive signal?


Currently, except for "Docomo", other signals do not enter so you can use Wifi in the main building where reception is open during business hours (9:00 to 21:00).




Can I borrow a computer・Printer?


There are no computers at disposition for the guests.

Please ask the staff to print a document.




Can I have a massage in my room?


We do not provide massage service. Please use the massage chair.




Can I leave my luggage before check-in and after check-out?


Yes, guests can keep their luggage at the reception of the main building.




Please tell me about the storage of valuables.


There is a safety deposit box available in the Japanese style rooms.




Can I rent a mobile phone・Portable Wi-fi during my stay?


We do not provide mobile phone・Portable Wi-fi.

What is the basic information about Kochi's climate?

Kochi has four seasons and the annual average temperature is between 12°C and 21°C.

In summer (June to August), the lowest average temperature is around 20°C and the highest is around 32°C.

In winter (from December to February), the temperature ranges from 1°C to 10°C.
